Harmony Music Therapy has been offering Music Together® classes for the last 8 years and we love how kids of all ages (and their parents) grow and develop when they have music in their lives.
Register for on of our demo classes before the start of the Winter 2025 semester.
We are following all public health guidelines and ensuring that everyone stays safe. We are staying up-to-date with all changes to public health guidelines and will adapt as is needed.
Families will need to fill out a waiver stating that they understand the terms and conditions of the class.
The Mixed-Age family music classes are at the core of Music Together®, and are open to children of all abilities, from 0-5 years of age. Original and engaging songs will be learned by parent and child. This model fosters natural, family-style learning, where the parents is as involved as (if not more so than) their child. Having a mixed-age group allows older children to develop leadership skills, and for the younger children to learn through watching and listening. Children learn in many different ways (playing, listening, watching, etc), and can participate at their own level. There is no pressure to perform.
NEW!! We are now offering the Music Together Babies Class. For babies 0-7 months and their parents, this class is specifically designed to teach parents how to support music development in infancy, and the many ways you can interact, engage and calm your baby using music activities from our class.
Music Together is an internationally recognized music education program for children from birth through age 5 and the curriculum is based on years of child development research. We nurture children's natural aptitudes for music through songs, chants, rhythm and tonal patterns, and movement to music.
The learning does not end once the class is finished. Because of our family-style of teaching, Music Together can be enjoyed at home with other family members as the CD, online link to the music, and songbook is included with your registration.
IMPORTANT : It will be important to arrive 5 minutes before the start of class to allow everyone to safely settle into their place, and allow the class to start on time.
